couldnt find the thread on here marking the passing of a hollywood great, so, if im stepping on toes...do as usual.

star of such classics as 'the hustler', 'cool hand luke', 'BC & the SK', 'cat on a hot tin roof', 'the sting', 'the colour of money', 'the road to perdition'. to other slightly less well known films like 'somebody up there likes me' and 'fort apache the bronx'.

He setup a range of food stuffs whereby every penny of profit went to charity, that his ranges were very successful meant over 200 million dollars was raised.

an avid sporting fan, he was a success in his time both motor racing and backing his motor racing teams.

died from lung cancer at age 83.

Sad state of affairs but he lived a good life. Reaching 83 years is a pretty good innings as well. Very good looking man indeed, even in his older years.

When I worked in a top security hospital,We used to dread that being on the telly,guarantee next day the younger members of staff had shades on to match our uniform and every patient became BOY until some one had had enough and give one of them a smack cue bedlam on the ward One young lad had not been there long as was still a pupil nurse decides to impress a patient with "hey boy thats my seat" now the patient he picked on was a hard man but no trouble if he did something wrong accepted the punishment but this time he knew he was not in the wrong so he gets out the chair and sparks the pupil nurse out coldthose where the days

One of my all time favourites and what a gorgeous looking man. Those blue eyes were something else.
