I think Sam was pushed by Walsh and for some reason Walsh looks to be still held in high regard by Moshiri.Regarding Silva.
We have no idea what happened between the various interested parties when Everton were courting Silva and made a bid to Watford for his services.
At the time it seemed that he stood back and said that he would leave it up to the clubs to sort it out.
However, after he was sacked I read that it was his constant requests for meetings with the board asking to be allowed to talk to Everton and to be allowed to leave for Everton convinced the Watford board even then that he had lost all focus at Watford and that had been transmitted to some players who wanted to go to Everton with him.... but then , Watford would say something like that... So , I don't know what is actually the truth.
Nor, do we know what was agreed between Everton, Silva and his agent at the time or has been agreed for the future... if that conversation ever took place.
We don't know if the Everton board still hold him in high regard after his dismissal, we only know they were prepared to pay Watford a fortune to get him, could they change their opinion so dramatically ?
I read recently that we were turned down by Tuchel but at the moment that is just paper talk with nothing to back that up and Tuchel is still out of work.
I think that what I am saying is that if Sam leaves the odds would be short on Silva being appointed .. at a fraction of the cost . I think Silva sounds like a BK appointment whereas we were told he didn't want Sam... my head hurts.... and I still hold the belief Sam will still be here next season.
I doubt either have done enough for Arsenal.I could see Arsenal going for Fonseca. We'll appoint Silva and finish seventh. But at least I'd watch.
It's like you're comparing Fonseca to Anchelotti or Simeoni. You're right I probably would have.
I'm not saying Fonseca definitely wouldn't do well and I like how his team's play.
I'm saying he's a more risky appointment and I don't think he has shown enough to justify that risk over Silva. One very good season in Ukraine and a decent champions league campaign aren't enough for me - it may just be down to having good players. His record before isn't that great.
I doubt either have done enough for Arsenal.
I think Tuchel will get that job.
you think Tuchel has done more than Fonseca because he managed Dortmund for a wet weekend? His only other experience is in lower league German football.I doubt either have done enough for Arsenal.

Is Fonseca as I handsome as Silva? If so that settles it for me.

Edit. Dortmund does give Tuchel an edge but I still see him as a risk.
Its just a different opinion. I'm not saying I'm definitely right. It's like you're comparing Fonseca to Anchelotti or Simeoni.
Both he and Silva did well in Portugal
Both did well in similar foreign leagues (Greece/Ukraine)
But silva couldn't save hull and crumbled at watford after we got involved while Fonseca wend on to achieve incredible things with Shakhtar.
Either would be better than fat sam tho.
If he gets the Bayern job then you might be right but Arsenal is a massive job and there's no "real" champions league clubs in the UK. There's 6 clubs in the mix, only really City is head and shoulders above and that's mainly down to Pep.I am not sure Tuchel will want the Arsenal job, he wants to be with a Champions League team if he can, I still think he will be FC Bayern trainer next season.

Plus Arsenal have a lot of money. Any new manager will be backed with a massive war chest. If Wenger leaves they won't want to make the same mistake Utd did with Moyes and not really back him.
We were talking about Tuchel but yea I agree Arsenal wouldn't risk Fonseca.Arsenal won’t take the risk on Fonseca
The value of the CL is too high
I’d say they may go for Emery, which is a pity as I’d fancy him here

Who ever gets Fonseca will get champions league, mark my words
