PCR Walk 60 miles in November for Prostate Cancer Research

I was wondering if any other Blues are taking part in this? I got my tee-shirt this morning and will be wearing it when I go for my usual brisk 2-mile walk tomorrow and all through November. My own cancer was laryngeal (vocal chords) but if I can raise money for the male-only cancer I thought I should.

Top fella ;)

At the weekend I went with Mrs TT to watch her 8 year-old grandson at his 2nd football practice. It took us back to watching her son - now 36, living in Bristol, Tennessee, no longer playing (GK) but training 8 year-old American boys and girls - playing football every weekend.

My stepdaughter asked me how my recovery was going and also told me that her dad, Mrs TT's ex, was having radiotherapy for prostate cancer. I don't particularly like the man but he his her and her brother's dad so it served as extra incentive for my walk.

Well done to you mate. I’m currently (with friends) planning our next fund raising event for MIND. Previously we’ve done two bike rides, one for ME and one for MIND, which were 60 and 100 miles, this time we’re planning on walking 100 miles over 3 days from Chester back to our home town. Love doing the events with good people as we always have great fun and push through the tough miles together… all for a good cause.

My first day comprised of a walk to the doctor for an appointment for my damaged shoulder, followed by a walk to meet Mrs TT, after her stint volunteering at the British Heart Foundation charity shop, slipping on the way, damaging my knee and pulling something, so turning round and walking back home - later walking to the hospital to have an x-ray on my shoulder before walking back home yet again. Walked 1½ miles in all so will make up the lost ½ mile over the rest of the week.

I’m the bride! My husband was often told he looked like Colin Bell or Roger Waters, not Alan Ball though.
Oops!

Maybe it was your husband's hair colour that swayed me. I definitely can see why someone said Colin Bell. Mind you, it depends on the image the camera captures. About ten years ago a woman in the pool on holiday said I look like Sean Connery. More recently I thought I looked more like Bryan Cranston's Walter White in Breaking Bad but I have since seen a photo of myself where I did indeed look like the ex Mr Bond.

Anyway, thanks for the donation, Moneypenny :)
