I matriculated here from the ToffeeWeb site via the Official EFC site. Was looking to see if the soon-to-be-old kits were even cheaper yet now that the new crest is coming out. Looks like we have another month to wait or so.

I travelled to England for the first time last year (2013) about this time (June) with the Air Force and decided to start following EPL and pick a team. The very scientific method to my process went as follows:

1. Not some sorry sack team that would get relegated and therefore give me a rats-ass chance in hell of seeing on TV here in the states.

2. Not a team that has some lame sports betting company logo emblazoned on the front of their kit.

3. Not Manchester United

4. Preferably a beer sponsor

So, that narrowed me down to two teams, Everton and Newcastle. It just so happens that the day I had decided to make this fateful decision (2 January, 2013), both teams were playing each other. Anichebe took a cross from Jelavic in the 59th minute and sent it home to win the match for the Blues. So, it was set in the annals of history. I would from that day forward bleed true blue. And hate Liverpool.

When I got to England I was able to see the Blues play Blackburn in a friendly and had an amazing time. Later that day I travelled up to Goodison Park and one of the security guards gave me and my mates a personal tour of the pitch. It was awesome to say the least. I'm travelling back to England next summer (2015) and will certainly make another match, hopefully at Goodison if the timing works out right.

Since I'm a Yank, I have to go with Tim Howard as my favorite Everton player. I never had the chance to see Landon Donovan play as a Blue, but I do have a jersey with his number 9 on it. Watching the matches this last year, I've really begun to like the tenacity shown by Osman, Stones and Coleman as well.

Not only is pineapple acceptable on pizza, I prefer it along with some ham to make a Hawaiian. Also enjoy a local pie with truffles oil and mushrooms on it. Quite delicious!

Cheers!

Kip
