PL tickets via Stubhub, Football Ticket.net, Live Football tickets, etc.?

I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for in any searches of this forum.

From what I understand: resale of premier league tickets on stubhub (assuming they haven't officially partnered with a club) is illegal in the UK and thus purchasing tickets for a given match using one of these services could result in being denied entry or ejected from the match. Is this correct?

My sense is that this is one of these laws that is rarely enacted, in that the only way they'd catch you is if the person working the turnstile actually asked to see your ID and matched it with the name on the ticket, and this seems to never happen. Having been to many PL matches, I seem to recall you just scan your ticket (or phone) and head into the stadium and no one bothers to check your name...

The reviews of the services listed in the title seem to indicate they sell legitimate tickets, so I'm not too worried about being sold fake ones ...or should I be?

So, am I at any risk of being denied entry if I buy tickets for a PL match via Stubhub, Football ticket.net.,etc? Just wondering...Thanks.

Was just a general inquiry...was contemplating a trip over to London at some point to visit my best friend. So a London based team like Palace or Brentford of Fulham.
Historically speaking, this'd probably your best bet, they get a lot of casuals and aways in one of their bigger stands, (iirc) so if you time it right with your mate you might get the toffees in town... Edit: just checked, 30th January 2024
