With united finding it impossible to score past them, their sub keeper just being sent off and Ferdinand in goal, it looks like Portsmouth are destined for success.

Will they score the pen though?
 
I never expected Portsmouth to get anything today, but good luck to them if they put the mancs out .
 
I knew I should have taken them at 10/1 today, but like you say, never expected them to get anything.

Before the draw I quite fancied them for the cup, but once they got Old Trafford I chickened out.

Was hoping to see fatty in goal instead of Rio, just for a laugh.

10 minutes to hold on. Or 18 of they play Fergie time.
 
And UTD are out .

Makes our performance against Pompey the more impressive too.

I still think Chelsea will win the cup though, don't want UEFA places going to anyone else other than the prem league standing clubs.
 

God Pompey 10/1? Pompey are a pretty good side and while Utd is by far the most talented team, they've had their share of stinkers.

I'd like to see Pompey win it, they got great fans and it would be nice to see someone else get some silverware.
 
I was sooo close to going to this game for free lol

Right now words can't desribe how happy i am and every other pompey fan out there! They had most of the posession long periods of the game but i thought we defended superbly. I rang my cousin up and he's a united fan and he sounded a bit pissed and kept on saying "you got lucky, you got lucky" :D
All we need now is for chelsea to get knocked out and that is possible!
 
we needed united to win...now only 5th gets uefa cup qualification,we needed a chelsea united final to increase our chances, why is everyone so happy
 

I read on a MBM match report that travelling Pompey fans offered to sing a song for the Utd. fans. Class.
 
We'll get a European spot if we win the UEFA cup, which isn't looking too likely. I can't see us finishing lower than 5th and it puts alot of pressure on the [Poor language removed] as well. Didn't we apply for the Intertoto?

Yes we did. Us, Man City and I think Pompey all applied
