Portsmouth's new stadium proposal

They actually had their own Kirkby because they wanted to move to a ground in Farlington, which is off of the island. Dunno if it's strictly speaking in Portsmouth or not, but it got killed by some migrating geese I believe.

When you put it like that it just underlines how mad the Kirkby move is.

<listens for Danny's footsteps>

Not if you've got mega funding from Tesc.....ah forget it.

I'll fell into the trap.

For whats its worth, I'd mucho rather see Goodison get developed.

The match would be weird elsewhere.

the latest in a long line of ambitious stadium plans has apparently been dead for some time but, of course, the loyal supporters are the last to be told officially. even the latest announcement is merely reverting to the milan mandaric proposal of about 5 or 6 years ago, but it's extremely unlikely anything will happen until the club's sold to a new owner. the idea that the horsea island proposal is merely "on hold" seems somewhat optimistic as there's little likelihood of a club of pompey's stature affording 2 stadium developments in such a short period of time. it's fair to say that most supporters are now a tad cynical about these proposals & the tendency seems to be to adopt an "i'll believe it when i see it" position.
