Any thoughts? Early starts, early finishes? Do you sort/plan your own route? The ones I got to know when on the parcels all seemed sound, and pretty happy with the job fwiw.

Matey of mine, well into his 40s, jacked his job in as a bookie out of sheer frustration. Bummed around a bit then got a job as a postie. I've never known him as happy, he 'kin loves it, is in the best shape of his life. He loves the early starts and clockin off early afternoon for a pint in the summer. Says its the single best move he's made in his entire life.

Couple of friends of mine have either been or are posties. Seems a stress free life if you can hack the early starts.

Was toying with the idea on a part time basis when I recently retired, ticks all the boxes for me at my stage of life.

I did it for approximately 6 weeks about 12 years ago. Best job I've had!! Wish I could have afforded to have carried on doing it!
