All footy Joe? Or just the Premier League?

Personally I can see the the argument for just bringing the FA Cup back for this season, you know, until we know it is safe. Limited contact and all that. What do you think?

All of it tbh the ones where they can financially make it as safe as possible , the league one and two can’t afford it the championship maybe but the PL and the Fa cup yes definitely. European games will probably have restrictions on travel for awhile but once there lifted finish them . I’m not bothered when the new season starts if it’s a bit later then so be it , I know loads are dead set against it but that’s there choice not mine . Once your allowed back in pubs , cinemas , gyms etc then amateur football should be able to restart .

You ever been to a game? Like been inside a football stadium when a match is being played?
Haha I’m 56 years of age first game was in 1973 against millwall in the boys pen stopped going in the beginning of the 90s due to working away then restarted and haven’t really missed since , a few aways on a coach with lads mostly from Anfield but that’s few and far between now ...have you ?

The UK still seems to be one of the worst hit countries in geographical europe for this virus though, we are still suffering huge numbers of deaths. You have typed out a thoughtful but somewhat longwinded response mate, you have not convinced me (nor should you). Why should we return to full on football action here? It is clearly unsafe, do you only care about the financials?

I think if we are of the mindset that we can’t restart until it’s gone then there will be teams that don’t exist after it and it will also have huge implications for the stadium move , smaller clubs can and have basically hibernated , the clubs in the championship and PL can’t do that so imo it’s important they come back as soon as possible . I’ve gone back to work my Missus has too and things are in place for her and I’ve done my own but these are being tested , tested and tested there is minimal risk and the curve is on a downward spiral slowly and hopefully we will start seeing the results they are getting down south in the next few weeks .

That’s all my own personal opinion and judging by sport starting to return over Europe
the much needed sense of normality is needed , we will all take risks in months coming forward in our job and they are no different as it is just a job to them .

Cinemas and gyms, when they do open, will be subject to strict social distance rules. Football, however, can’t be. So you want thousands of people, many of whom could be asymptomatic, to start playing football again?

How strange
