Lads, I just cannot work out how to do this.
I can sort of get a picture into a thread using tiny pic , but the sizes vary greatly.

I started a YouTube thread in the Everton forum, and some lads posted direct links to their faves..

If I have a clip, for example, on my laptop, is it possible to get it posted on here ?

I understand this is a piece of pi*s for most of you.. But any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE, if you can help, please imagine that you are talking to your 80 year old nan, who has never seen a computer before... I am that bad with this sort of stuff.

I think if its a video on your comp the easiest way would be to upload it to youtube or similar site and then just copy and paste the link into video tags on here, ala :

[videoEVERTON]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHROHJlU_Ng.

Without the word EVERTON in of course.

Now uploading to youtube, i'm not sure how to do it but i;d assume its as simple as making an account and following the instructions.

If its a vid thats all ready on youtube that you want to show up in a post here you go to the video and copy the address in the address bar at the top then put that between the tags as shown above.

If sawdust dosent work.. and the vids are ones I dont want everyone seeing.. any other suggestions ?
Not dodgy vids by the way..

Seriously...there is probs an easier way but if it's a youtube clip you want to upload it's pretty easy......at he bottom of the clip you're watching there is a 'share' option......click that and the url adres thing appears in the box . it's highlighted....go up to edit and press copy..............come back on GOT and click on the video icon on the tool bar next to the pics icon....when the box comes up just copy the url into it.......works for me but like i said there is probs an easier way. Hope that is of some little help mate.

Not easy that mate. Once you've uploaded or referenced something on t'internet, unless it's protected in some way ( by username and password for example ) , it's there for all to see. You could create a Dropbox account which you can sync a web site folder to a folder on your PC with, and upload it from there as opposed to YouTube, but it's still available for random strangers to see.

Basically, if you don't want all and sundry to be able to see it, don't post it on a public forum.

Bit disappointed it's not a dodgy video tbh.

I generally copy the vid, then paste it with at the end, no spaces

Quote this post to see properly.
