Highly rated Ipswich goalkeeper Shane Supple has decided to walk away from football at the age of 22 having "fallen out of love with the game".
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 star came through the club's academy and made 38 first team appearances.


Quite rare don't you think? He was no duffer either, he had a future of being quite well paid to play football. Guess football was not what he imagined it to be. Quite interesting

He probably wants to go out with his mates, get pissed, shag birds,get smashed...do what a "normal" 22 year old does...

I've known lots of players from mates and mates who never went anywhere in footy even though they had talant because they couldnt be arsed living like a hermitt and being told they cant do this and that as a pro footy player...

That and they are nobheads who think they're are amazing but wouldnt put down a splif or an ale over a pro footy contract.
