Since it’s apparent we have neither the leadership in the Liver Buildings nor perhaps in the dugout we have only one route to heroic leadership left. The team captaincy.

Seamus has done Everton well but it’s clear his cajoling of these bums is not having an impact and I feel it may be down to an old pro being out of touch with the younger generation.

9 games left lads, who would you go for?

Might as well just pick a name out the hat. Beyond Coleman as default, there are no leaders whatsoever in that dressing room. Such a god-awful state of affairs (and I don't count Delph. You can't lead a team from the treatment room).

Richy is probably the best of a garbage bunch to pick from; might inspire him to cut out the diving, rolling around, complaining and just get on with the game. Set the tone and lead by example. He'd probably enjoy and embrace it. Everyone else would probably just wilt like the weaklings they are.

(EDIT: forgot Gordon. I think he'd love it and would embrace it, although it's extra pressure on a young lad who is already one of very few who is expected to make things happen).
