Results don't say so
They struggled last season and I dont see that changing.
This is how desperate they are to trivialize the win, its made worst by having a 2 weeks brake, the bad result they want is a long way away, Brighton are a top 10 shout, anyone who thinks otherwise football isnt for them
It was a very good win away, any win away is very good in this league.

My only point is that I think Brighton will struggle this season, it doesnt matter if we beat relegation favourites or top 4 challengers, winning games is hard in this league.

But ive bookmarked this post, so at the end of the season we can see if Brighton finish top 10 or near the relegation places.

I've just tried to change the spelling of a word in a recent post of mine here and spellchecker won't let me so I've deleted it.

It weakened the point I was trying to make which was that I'd chosen not to use the name that red fans did when referring our new manager.

It's forcing me to spell his name Rafael when the spelling I wanted was Rafael. See what I mean? I wanted the shortened version with 4 letters

West Ham have spent over 300 million in the last 4 seasons. They also finished 6th last season.

Rafael has taken over a team which finished 10th, spent 1.7 mil. Had the fan pressure to begin with. Has a few players who clearly don't want to be there and half a squad he can't get rid of.

Ok. So they have spent less than us? That's why what Moyes is doing there is better. Benny has better tools to work with.

And every manager has fan pressure, theres no point using that as an excuse.

Benny has made a decent start though.

OMG!

So Brighton are "Top 10 Shout" with the Blind Bulbous Benny Brigade hoping that their King Kopite will deliver us a Top Half finish with a far superior squad.
Doesn't thins make Potter a far superior manager? Why didn't we get him when we had the chance?
We really have lost out here, in more ways than one.

Nuno beat the Champions and has won all his games.

Would be a complete joke if he didnt win it.
He definitely should

I honestly can’t keep up with some the mental Gymnastics by others in here .” We were lucky to get Benitez because Nuno was a rubbish alternative and would have got got us relegated ” , “Benitez has been nominated for manager of the month so it shows how good an appointment he was “ don’t really seem to fit when Nuno seems nailed on to get MOM .

Then we’ve got people who say potter would have been horrific as we’d have been destined for league one as brighton are shocking are now arguing brighton are a top side so that good performance, which it was , has to be rated even higher .

obviously lots of people have been consistent but so many desperately flip flop to , usually , show what an incredible appointment this has been . So far I’ve been pleased and it’s been a much better start than I thought and frankly hoped for so let’s hope it continues but The way to measure it is against the tougher tests to come so let’s hold off them Kendall comparisons which incredibly and frankly sickeningly I’ve seen .

Again to avoid the inevitable criticism he’s doing a good job , I’m really pleased, happy with the signings that have played and I hope the form continues long into the distance .

There are a lot of us who aren't Benítez lovers or haters, we just accept the fact he is here and we get on with it. I find the war of attrition between the two camps a bit daft in all honesty. Forget the manager if he bothers you that much and concentrate on the team I guess.
I didn’t want him but I just want us to win and that’s happening, I like us winning simple as really .

Benny deserves it solely for the pressure he was under from fixture 1 by a section of the fanbase.

Nuno has done well but come on he's scraped 3x 1-0 wins playing awful football and got beat in the Europa Conference by some farmers.

At least Benitez is still technically unbeaten and all on a shoestring budget.

This.

It's all about the players anyway. I'd rather the players have a coach that THEY respect.

If they respond to him, then it trumps any feelings we have.

I'm sure there's been managers (Jose for example) who fans of other clubs love, but once they've lost the players, it's a one way path, littered with half arsed performances, to the sack.

Ultimately, we should be happy that the players seem to be responding positively
