We can’t judge Benitez on one signing either - and let’s face it’s the only signing of his (if he did make it) that can be considered successful since he joined

The rest range from average (Townsend), poor (Begovic) to the unspeakable (Rondon)

Throw Longstaff into the mix and his transfers are nothing short of a total shambles

I cant be bothered to go and find it but the list of his signings for newcastle was an absolutely shocking indictment of his transfer 'acumen'

I wouldn't mind Longstaff as a squad player off the bench tbh - people baulked at Gray and Towsend who have been good players for us.
