Rafael Could Sell Star Duo!

They have just sold Voronin, so have a spot on the payroll for some new striker. I wonder who they will ruin next. (See: Keane, Babel, Morientes, Baros, Cisse, Diouf) (19mill, 11.5, 5.5, 3.4, 14, 10)

Would be great news, but only if they were reasonable bids for each player. Wasn't there some bizarre rumour flying about saying someone (City?) had offered £140m for Torres??

No player in the world is worth even 25% of that, if they sold them both for a combined sum of £100m or more I would be concerned about what they could do with the cash. Even if they didn't spend it all on players, it would help stabilise the club, which none of us want to see. It might even encourage the Americans to move on, now that they've gotten some good hard cash out of the deal.

If they were under pressure to get shot of both, and had to let them go for £50m, I would be reasonably confident that Rafael would completely fail to replace either of them. Come the following season they'd be in the same position, but with nobody left to sell for the same price.

Porstmouth have prepared themselves for relegation by selling their star names, and Liverpool are preparing for non-Champion's League football by selling theirs.

Have to disagree, there's nothing I'd like more than to see them struggle near the foot of the table.

I wouldn't want them to be relegated really, because the derby is an important day for the whole city, but I never want to sit at my television watching them win anything ever again.

Gerrard will leave Liverpool in a second. Yeah, he's been loyal to the club over their good years, but everyone knows what kind of character he is, the guy is a complete ****head. If they don't qualify for the Champion's League, he will be out the door faster than you can imagine.

He's been in a sulk all season already.
