Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
just been in sayers in wigan.
tbh far from impressed,
we give these guys a lot of good press on here as the emporium at which to peruse the pastries that they purvey.
£1.15 for a meat and potato pasty seems a tad expensive tbh and i have to say that it wasnt very nice either, a touch mincey and sloppy. now i've had a couple on the trot now and am thinking that maybe a brand change may get them off their laurels on which they are so obviously resting. so the task at hand is a full report on any others that you recommend, call it a "post-pastie report"they have obviosly read about our loyalty and think we're geordies who will put up with any old [Poor language removed].

£1.15 and sloppy aint nice
not for a pastie
or a [Poor language removed]' slice

Dawsons in Tyldesley do the best Meat + Potato pies and Meat pies in the world. In. The. World.

Their pasties are of a high standard too. Just meat and potato.

Any other flavour is pointless.

They don't do good pies round here. I got a pork pie the other day and it was hot! Like a pink meat pie. [Poor language removed].

Like to be able to help but I live down sarff and all I've got nearby are sushi and noodle bars. The only ways I get a decent pie are to visit the in law's back home or make one myself (pie, not in law).

they are getting a little pricey though chico, i fear that your abscence has made your heart grow fonder. no longer are they the family bakery that you know and love they are one of these big conglomerates with "production lines", "cross contamination" and get out clauses for allergic reactions. it was all hampsons round here and then they all merged and hampsons has also gone less quality as well. i also stand by by vow that if they dont bring back the chilli pastie them i'm off to waterfields, bakers of distinction.

*i did a job for mrs. waterfield, in her bedroom, she had one of those dressing rooms that was the size of the upstairs of our house, which i would like to bet had a very ample lingerie chest and i will only say "she was very touchy touchy, kept putting her hand on mine, and she was a good sort too". she is in my memory bank filed under the folder"customers that deffo would've" and i can recall her and what i estimate she would be like in a state of undress in about 5 secs flat, and her hand isnt on my hand then.

You think sayers is going down the pan for m & p then Greggs deserves shooting, you take a bite out and the filling is everywhere its so sloppy. Thing is I don't think its anything to do with your local shop, its all frozen as far as I can tell. They just bake 'em and then they can say truthfully that they are baked fresh instore

Wherever they make the fecking things needs to change back to the old recipe or I for one will be a nay-Sayer(n)

Forum brilliance on a cold, dark November afternoon.

Went to Greggs today, chargrilled chicken sandwich for £1.95.

What has the world come to with these horrific prices.
