I think it wasn't to bad.
Got rid of some long term dross Maupay, Godfrey with transfers
Sold a player for profit in Onana
Then reimbursed that money into players under 25 who can improve our squad depth and may also have decent resale in future.
Other than that secured some decent loans also.
Obviously would have been nice to solve the long term issues of striker and right back especially.
But after young signed for another year I knew we wouldn't be getting another right back.

I think it's probably one of the more sensible transfer window we have had in a while? Think we have made 30mil odd in transfer fees?

It’s a bit average overall, isn’t it?

The players they have got in seem, for the most part, to be decent signings.

But we’ve still got glaring weaknesses in the squad that haven’t been addressed. Again.

No fullback, No Winger.

=

Same toothless style of play for Everton.

=

Relying on players who are playing out of position to be able to contribute.

=

Another high probability season of MEH.

I think generally the squad is a little stronger but there are still glaring positions that need filling which we don’t seem to be able to fill. It does make you wonder if there is a difference of opinion between the DoF and manager. What’s not good for the club at present, if the rumours around Thelwell’s contract are to be believed is that both DoF and Manager are in the last year of their contracts. This is not good for the longer term future of the club. Very dysfunctional. I scored a six.

Hopefully Dixon is the answer to the RB signing we didn’t make, he didn’t go out on loan either so maybe we will see him start some games, I’d like to see him start today as Bournemouth have plenty of pace on the wings.

Got rid of Maupay and Holgate
Sold Onana and Godfrey for PSR
Bolloxed the DCL situation
Ndaiye and Iroegbunam look to be excellent bits of business
Lindstrom has something about him, few more games and he’ll break out
Young we didn’t need to re-sign
Harrison meh
O’Brien jury’s out on till he can force his way in, hopefully starting today
Broja, the deal seems to be incredibly structured in our favour which is shocking by our standards
Mangala could be decent

Yeah, glaring thing for me is right back and actual cover at left back.

Having said that, fresh faces might just be what we need and a bit more dynamism in midfield/wide. We've been so stodgy and ponderous there for so long. Dyche doesn't help there, but that has been a problem for our last few managers.

Let's hope they all bed in and come good.

Reasonable assessment

On paper looks stronger but we now need Dyche to evolve as a manager as it we continue just lumping 60yard balls forward and bypassing the midfield it will have all been for nothing we need to see if he can get round dropping his favourite worker players for more technically skilled players .
I don’t see how we play on the break with the lack of pace we still have .

I think the best you can be is hopeful, isn’t it?

Thats where I am, anyway. I never feel like I can judge a window until I see how it shakes out on the pitch over the coming months.
