Take that last minute away, and this was as bad a game as I've seen this season. Dominated possession, but were about to walk away with 0 points and a red card. Credit to Jermaine. That was a phemonenal goal, and I did a double take when I realsed it was him and not Yakubu -- strength, turn and a beautiful finish. However Moyes' tactics were wrong, his lineup was wrong, our lack of goals is beyond worrying, and Felli's disgraced himself there.

Howard - 7. Surprisingly had nothing to do, but make a wonder save once, and pick the ball out of his net once.

Neville - 7. Solid game, with some excellent crossing.

Jags - 6. Good, up until the fatal mistake.

Distin - 8. Thanks Sylvain. You're making my job as the resident Distin fanboy much easier.

Baines - 8. Good all game, and great tenacity at the end to allow for Beckford's chance.

Bily - 5. So, so, so poor. In every way. I would have written him off now, but after seeing Beckford produce a mancream-inducing wonder goal, I'm not willing to write anyone off. But it doesn't look good.

Arteta - 6. Nothing really. Quite average. And too many corners of his don't beat the first man -- STILL!

Fellaini - 4. Would have been a 7 or 8, but he's disgraced himself there. I've always defended him when people have called him dirty -- most of his cards in the past have been unfair -- but he's done himself no favours. A moment of pure idiocy.

Pienaar - 8. Excellent, in every way. Great passing (cross field ball to Bily... wow), great ball retention, amazing interplay with Baines (that one particular blind passback was spooky -- do they have some psychic bond?)

Saha - 6.5. Much better, really. He just couldn't find the net. He looked up for it though, and that's more than I can say about him for the past 6 months.

Subs

Coleman - 7. Why oh why: a.) Leave him on the bench for Bily? b.) Wait so long to bring him on? He's just pure football sex.

Beckford - N/A for performance; not enough time, but 10 for the goal. Saved us from an even worse fate, and if Torres had scored that he'd be making front and back pages of all the papers again. MOTM for me, because he saved our arse, simply. Take a bow, Jermaine, lid.

Yakubu - N/A. No time to make an impact.

Moyes - 5. Wrong team, late subs and still no answer to our goal drought. Must have had 30 shots and 20 odd corners, but had Beckford not saved us, we'd have had nought in every way.

Ref - 9. Excellent. Let the game flow. Gave a few minor eyebrow-raising decisions, but he was really good.

First half we were great, but our lone striker was making his first start, and when the ball did break it fell to all the wrong men.
Referee was the worst performer tonight, -10 for that vaginal-wart.

???

Did he disallow a goal when I blinked or something?

Was an STD all evening, didnt discipline Davies, didnt penalise Gary cahill time and time again. Wasnt bothered that Robinson (?) kicked and then trapped Fellainis legs after the challenge that led to the red. Also, that walking piece of sputum has been gangrenous herpes in our games in the past.

I don't think I've ever disagreed with someone more on here, mate.

1.) You're seriously arguing with the red card? Looks like it, and again in the match thread. Wow.

2.) You're judging him on past games? Are you serious? Try watching what's happening now, seeing as you're talking now, and judging now. Retroactive criticism has no place in a discussion about today's match.

Fellaini now is a target though, he has nobody to blame but himself. He almost certainly will get sent off at least 1 more time this season, possibly more. He just does himself no favours with his attitude, and his aggression.

This is my worry. He was already a target before, but now he's actually lashed out, and got his first red... it doesn't bode well.

Bring Clive Thomas back then, and Lord Ellary, and Poll and Clattenburg. Context point DONE!

Have to say im more withHirsuteBlue here, Bolton were allowed continuously foul to break up the momentum of our play and rythem, im not saying thats why we lost, it was a bad mistake by Jags end of its his fault. The ref could have yellowed the likes of Davies, Holden and Cahill for persistent fouling.
