Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
You know as im getting into my older age (29) im starting to go off Larger. Iv been having a tipple of bitter, cider an guiness as of late. But the last time i was in the tesco. They have an offer for 4 bottles of real ale for a £5. So i thought id give it a go. i went for....

Badger....golden champion

Bishops finger

Badger....Tangle foot

Gaymers.....Pear cider (it was also on the offer,an id never try'd it)

Not i must admit, the real ale's were utterly lovley. But i have to give special praise to the g.champion. Has any one try'd it? What a brew.

So i ask...is their any strange brews that people drink that we should all know about. Let us in to your secret.

Come on reidy spit it out lad, i want to know!!

Speckled Hen is nice.

Careful Sharpy, it's nectar and highly addictive.

Goes lovely with a nice fillet steak though.

Dont say that mate.......iv just bought a big jucy fillet from cosco for tomorrow night!!

I think it was ment to be mate. Medium-rare an a speckled hen, sounds like a night of top food a beverage.

As for highly addictive....think im past that now. vim old chum!!

home and bargain tend to have a few on offer, i dont tend to drink very often as always on call, when i do i tend to go for guiness/murphy's but i must admit i got one of those huge draught kegs of weissbier from lidl and that was tasty.
i keep away from lager as it bloats me and if draught boddies is on offer and kept right its top notch. never been a mild drinker but have been told that it all has great taste, some being fruity.
in new zealand i drank speights which was like bitter and monteiths which was described as the west coast miners end of shift meal.
in holland i went for grolsch as all ale was cheap and i liked it on draught.
in aus though it had to be carlton cold or hahn ice as you just seemed to need quenching all the time.
strongest i had on draught was bishops tipple in porton down and they would only serve you 1/2's, sludge in the bottom and you just got bladdered on it.
havin a few this weekend and may try a few of the real'uns myself, we have a real ale fest round here called "the bent and bongs beer bash" well worth a visit and you get a commemorative glass(y) its called that cos atherton iis known as bent and tyldesley as bongs.

get to some local camra beer festivals & then you can experience myriad strange ales, brewed by companies you may well not have heard of & often from places you've never been to.

or go to prague with the missus (as opposed to the lads and just drinking pils and watching strippers) and visit some of the micro breweries, or at least sample their ale, some topnotch cheap restraunts too to keep her sweet before the alefest gets going(y)
or just head down to home and bargain with her

By all accounts you'd need lead lined walls to suppress the stench from one of your raspers, or so Monty says !
