No it wasn't. Unlucky collision and play had stopped. Wasn't violent conduct.

The decision was correct. The injury was great. Long overdue after Gerrards lunge on Naismity, Kuyt on Neville etc. etc. etc.

Strangely enough, for me it'd make it even better if Pickford had got away with a red card. Massively more satisfying.

They have one point out of nine and were held by villa's babies until half time on friday night. No idea what exactly but something isn't right there for the last several weeks. If we have had a small role in this by virtue of that challenge in the derby well then that is just fine by me.

If Oliver had booked VVD for at least one of his 2 fouls on James and DCL he may not have been baring down on Pickford with such speed, as he would have known if he got the challenge wrong he may have got sent off.

If it was the other way around, I'd have been furious for a day but would have understood the decision on the pitch.
