Former Sunderland and Leeds United boss Peter Reid has been named as a leading candidate to be the new Thailand coach.

Reid and ex-Canada coach Holger Osieck are the frontrunners to land the job, according to the president of the Football Association of Thailand, Worawi Makudi.
"We are negotiating the details with Peter Reid of England and German Holger Osieck," Worawi told the Bangkok Post.

used too tx, 3 kids now so had my vapour trails clipped, i have been to thailand though for 3 months and was lothering myself up with pure coconut oil whilst there. it was cheap as chips too, paid about90pence per night for a hut on the beach, totally cut off, no road, only access by longtail boat, it was 3 of the most peacefull months ever (compared to these days with 3 kids, a month under the flightpath for gatwick would be quiet),
i even got to watch the blues in the ammo semi against spurs, went to a restraunt oin the middle of nowhere to meet a thai blue to watch the game, it was his place and he picked me and mrs b.o.g. up on a moped (3 on 1 bike) and took us to his place to get rat-arsed and watch the game, there was even the added bonus of a german there too, going on about herrklinnsmans technical superiority, me and the thai bloke were fizzing ale over him and everything by the end. looking back he couldve been anyone taking us anywhere, but i was very very stoned so didnt really care.

pity i could never find a way of turning it all into an income really once it was all over.
7 years was a good innings as far as"gap years" goand i do realise i was lucky to do it and experience some of the things i did. never got ripped off on during all that time either so luck was on my side i guess. cant beat it, when i went to brann (not on the official or unofficial trip) it was like back to the old days again, enjoyed organising it and getting there as much as the match.
i had planned out a trip to metallist and found a local who would come to kiev and ship us over in a mini-bus but all the ones who said yeah i'm in bottled it, and it was gonna be dead cheap as well.
we should get a g.o.t. travel club sorted(y)

Travel is ace.

i reckon it was hiking round to away games that got me into it, always going unofficial to save some cash, although eavesway were the local coach firm so they were handy for small grounds and that sort of thing, cos they would get tickets ,and there were times they rang to ask if i wanted a seat cos they had a couple left (just dont tell anyone what you've paid sort of thing).
been trying to suss out cuba on the cheap but it's got me beat so far, and when i say cheap i mean chirpy chirpy cheap cheap

Cuba's difficult to do cheap pal.

The away days are fantastic, its getting to expensive now but theres nothing like it.

the coaches via the club aren't bad, i rang about arsenal and it was only about £25, it was that in the glory days. tickets are expensive though and all the expenses for the day too are dear. cant beat filling a transit with people and heading to an away(y)
