Pickford is also the one I wouldn’t begrudge a move…the rest of the so called ‘better players’ who will undoubtedly be looking for a way out if we get relegated can go and sniff it unless we want to sell themI think Pickford is the big one for making a profit, he will be worth a few quid and his book value can't be that much, albeit he did renew his contract. DCL is the difficult one for Everton. I just can't see any team paying the fee that his value 'should' be. With injuries he would be way too high a risk, I can see DCL going out on loan with an obligation to buy if he play X games for the club. With a bit of luck u will avoid relegation and won't have to make these decisions while under pressure to reduce salaries etc
I'm not sure with the current structure above the manager that bouncing back would be a given ,the club desperately needs a major and professional overhaulThe one thing I would say is if we get relegated, there are other clubs who have been relegated more recently that have become resurgent following it (thinking Newcastle and Aston Villa) and there are clubs who have built themselves up over time (Brighton and Brentford) so short term, yes not great but with a change of executive leadership and possibly ownership, we are big enough to bounce back. We won’t be the first generation of support to suffer the ignominy of relegation, but we can absolutely bounce back.
The issue is mate, we will more than likely have to sell them. We won’t get a choice.Pickford is also the one I wouldn’t begrudge a move…the rest of the so called ‘better players’ who will undoubtedly be looking for a way out if we get relegated can go and sniff it unless we want to sell them
They weren't losing the amount of money we were when they were relegated. That's what I'm worried about. They also had some young players who had played first team football. Who have we got? We deffo don't have a Grealish. The one thing I would say is if we get relegated, there are other clubs who have been relegated more recently that have become resurgent following it (thinking Newcastle and Aston Villa) and there are clubs who have built themselves up over time (Brighton and Brentford) so short term, yes not great but with a change of executive leadership and possibly ownership, we are big enough to bounce back. They also sold Grealish for £100 million which helps..They weren't losing the amount of money we were when they were relegated. That's what I'm worried about. They also had some young players who had played first team football. Who have we got? We deffo don't have a Grealish.
We are done, not a very good football teamIf we don't beat Leicester I think we are done. And we probably are done anyway.
After they got promotedThey also sold Grealish for £100 million which helps..
I appreciate that…just looking at it from a footballing perspective as opposed to a business / financial perspective which at least allows some glimmer of hope through but you’re right - there is a real financial risk but this can be mi I used with the help of parachute payments if we minimise the period of time in the Championship to a season or two maximum. They weren't losing the amount of money we were when they were relegated. Yeah I know….just wouldn’t begrudge Pickford - I just hope the rest perform at their new clubs the way they have for usThe issue is mate, we will more than likely have to sell them. We won’t get a choice.
No with the current board / leadership personnel in place I’d expect us to be mid table / relegation candidates in the Championship, so a change would be required - absolutelyI'm not sure with the current structure above the manager that bouncing back would be a given ,the club desperately needs a major and professional overhaul
Lol.I got to here, I didnt read the rest.
Maybe you can explain how it can go much worse than getting relegated?
Cos the Board relegated us in January.
But its fine, you keep kissing Bills arse while the club burns.
Chairman Bill LOVES fans like you, LOVES THEM.
