I’m still not sure that’s true. The last 15 must include caretaker managers, too, and I know Ferguson got beat 1-0 by Slippy before Lampard got appointed. Unsworth also got beat in his first game before Allardyce got appointed (I realise both were unbeaten in their first games during their first spells as caretaker manager, though).
I think you answered your own query there, the stats don't relate to a second spell because it wasn't their first career game in charge.

Careful now...

We didn't play half as good against Brentford as we did on Saturday. I generally agree though we should see what happens in the next before we hail him as the Dycheity.

That west brom manager has signed a new contract, was the favourite at one points to replace the yank at leeds.

Interesting to see who they go for now, only really seen him linked.

Could have been perfect time getting dyche when we did, both Leeds and likely Southampton next to sack mangers, one of which would ahve deffo went for dyche

Wonder if they sacked him to try and get a bounce against us, this season is becoming a real scrap.

Looking at the run in, I think it’s similar to last season in respect of we are going to have to get results where we are not really expecting one, just like the Arsenal game, and just like Man U, Chelsea and Leicester last season. Great start made Saturday with that in mind.

Depends if we can get points on the board in the next few games. After the RS we have a lovely 4 game run. Imagine we were to win 3 of those giving us 27 points from 26 games allowing us to cruise at about a point a game to safety :)

Would be lovely but you have to say it’s unlikely, I can’t even remember the last time we won three games in a row tbh.

What’s this stat I’ve heard over the last few days, something about the last 15 new managers winning their first game? Or was it being unbeaten? Can someone clarify, because I’m not sure that’s true
As has been said unbeaten . From Walter smith of the permanent only moyes , allardyce, the former RS manager , lampard and now Dyche have won . Others drew their games .

Saturdays win is the best win of the lot , looking back and remembering opponents.

Agree i thought that we left it late with villa, wolves and wasnt 100% with dyche. Is not alot of managers who will want to take a job this late. Just hope that this will help us staying up
