We didnt even play badly in the first half today and should have been out of sight before they got their first. How often do we say that though. We waste so many chances.

Where does this idea that going down to properly rebuild come from?

Rebuild with less money in a league that is notoriously difficult to get out of?

Not a chance we will be relegated though, I think we are lucky that this season has a bunch of the worst premier league teams in a long time.

Sheffield United will finish bottom by a long way imo. Luton will probably win a few home games in similar style to today so I'd say they'll get over 20 points although 30 + points is an optimistic stretch given their talent level.

Not win next weekend and so then to just win 7 home games need a 50% win ratio for rest of the season. That's going to be very tough with pretty much all the top half teams still to visit.

Will certainly be watching Luton-Burnley with interest on Tuesday. Massive for both teams.

Yup. Being a top flight regular is all we have left right now. Would be a disaster to not even have that.

Whats the ideal scenario if we do go down rebuild and come back up? Leeds? Villa? Because that's all we will be. Villa are doing alright right now but they are never challenging for the title again in our lifetime unless they get took over by some dodgy regime (even then). If we go down we could come back up and be a bit better than what we are now until we have a bad season and it all unravels again (like will happen at Villa).

The whole thing is pretty futile really isn't it?

Still obvious people don't understand the implications of relegation.

It isn't a rebuild, it is the worst financial implosion in football history. You'd need someone who is prepared to write of half a billion minimum to keep us alive.
