If we do not have a big clear out and somehow revitalise the squad we could be in big trouble next season. This home form has been simply dreadful. If teams find us out next year I dread it. DCL has overachieved this season, but he and Richo have been missing when the season has needed to be closed as top 6. The midfield is goal shy and our defence is like Prince Andrew at an orgy, willing but lacking. I really fear for next season. Seriously I could name eight who I wouldn't want, BUT who would want them.

This is a new one, worrying about relegation when we haven’t even finished the previous season.

I can top it. I’m seriously concerned about us getting relegated in our first season in BMD

Baring DCL, who's obviously benefitted from having them, the players we signed in the summer have been our best performing this season and the others have been the worst.

The problem with DCL and with Richarlison is, quite simply, they’re overused.

Richarlison literally hasn’t stopped now since he’s signed for us, and whether you question his attitude, he’s done in, good job he doesn’t have a major tournament in the summer... oh wait.

But a variety of

Holgate, Keane, Bernard, Sigurdsson, Gomes, Iwobi are just absolutely not what we need, and I actually think they know it.

As the poster above said, the players we’ve brought in have drastically improved us, and I’m enthusiastic that we’ll continue that this offseason.

But Christ, we’ve wasted so much money on absolutely garbage.

Over the last few seasons we’ve:
1. Never beaten Brighton away
2. Not beat Villa in 4 fixtures
3. Lost twice at home to Sheff U
4. Etc etc

We’re just so inconsistent it’s like being back in 2001 under Smith, hoping we’ll do something. 2021 most fixtures I hope we pick up points rather than knowing we’ll win. These last 7 years have been a strain of hope and dirge...when’s it gonna end
