We invited this horror on us when we lost to Burnley. That was the definitive moment to pull ourselves clear and we proved we weren't up to it. The United result was compensation, but it was never as valuable as a win over Burnley would have been. My feeling was we went down that night at Turf Moor - albeit we have given ourselves a chance since. I suspect we will not clamber out of the bottom three if we fall into it.

A win wasn’t necessary, all we had to do was avoid defeat....... and we weren’t up to the task

I think yes.

What would that achieve?! We'll still be run by the people who have orchestrated this mess in Moshiri, Kenwright and the rest of the stupid squad on the board. We'll still have a mid-table championship side for a team. How would sacking Lampard change anything......

Yeh I think we look back on that game as the one which ultimately costs us.
