Oh dear, why can't some of the Irish just let it go, considering how many volunteers died in WW1 and WW2...

Its like saying that the Shamrock is a symbol of the IRA, some really sad people yet still wanting to live and earn money in England.........

Pack it in. The poppy is offensive to most Irish people as it glorifies the frankly evil black and tans never mind the rampaging gangs of squaddies in the Troubles.

I suppose, but it is upsetting though.......I've no problem if they hate us and live in Ireland, I just object when they hate us but insist on living and working over here........

Lads this thread is starting to become a free for all for ill-informed opinions, rather than remembrance of the dead veterans, mainly of WW1.

A lot isn't even about Remembrance Day, so I'm closing this and will open a new, remembrance-only thread on the 11th.
