Dear all,
Reputation isn't dead. We need a new vanguard of heroes to put the bozos in their place. Rep does not need to die because of some Vietnamese mafia – it can live.
Here we/me (not pronouns) propose a voting system designed to enhance the reputation and interaction dynamics of our GOT community, outside of Asian mobsters. This system will allow users to nominate positive or negative reputation points for other posters, fostering a more engaging and accountable environment. Here’s how it might work.
Though we need a Rep Master.
Rep Master Role
To ensure the smooth operation of this system, GOT will appoint a Rep Master (RP). The RP will be responsible for managing the private votes and ensuring the integrity of the voting process. The RP will:
• Collect and record private votes.
• Maintain confidentiality of the posters' identities.
• Act as a point of contact for any questions or concerns regarding the voting system.
• Collaborate with system administrators to ensure fair and transparent handling of votes.

- Description: GOT's can choose to publicly submit their vote in this thread, which will be visible to all members.
- Benefits: Transparency and accountability. Everyone can see who voted and the reasoning behind their vote.
- Private Vote:
- Description: GOT's can submit their vote privately, to the RP. Only the system administrators and RP will know who voted.
- Benefits: Anonymity for those who prefer to keep their opinions private while still contributing to the community’s reputation system.
- Proxy Vote:
- Description: GOT's can submit their vote via a trusted proxy, who will cast the vote on their behalf. The identity of the original voter remains confidential.
- Benefits: Adds a layer of anonymity while ensuring the vote is cast through a trusted intermediary.
