RFID Chip

RFID's been around for a long time. GoD, and has a very short range - could never be used to track your movements. A typical use, for example, would be to track products as they move into or ourt of a warehouse - as they pass close by the reader, it can read their weak signal.

GPS, on the other hand, could easily become what you describe. I foresee a time when parents embed GPS transponders in their kids, for safety reasons. If so, hopefully they'll be able to be removed when reaching a certain age.

Zeitgeist hit home eh mate?

To be honest mate I watched the 2nd half tonight, and i'm 30% on board with stuff. The whole malarkey about the Central Bank and all that shizzle, well it's fairly clear that financially the world economy is not doing great - it was an accusation for the director to chat about.

The religion thing was as flimsy as the bible, it was kind of like two sticks of candy floss going at it and attempting to hurt eachother.

Can't talk about the 9/11 thing, as it's far too sensitive.

The guy had some substance, but there was an awful lot of flat accusations with little evidence.

I did however find the recording of that Aaron guy who was friends with Rockafella, quite interesting - although it could have been anyone talking there.

Off the cuff like, consider who has what to gain from such control, and will their movements be allowed to be tracked. They aren't the thought police. Yet.

Edited a research paper on RFID chips and personal freedoms for an old law professor. It's not so much that they can track you on the hoof but at any checkpoint, you can easily be scanned. There was a bar/lounge in the Netherlands (if I recall properly) that has a RFID scanner - regular patrons could get one inserted just under the skin and then show to the lounge with nothing - the RFID chip held their personal ID and credit card info - just swipe the wrist over the reader in the bar top and you've paid your tab.

Voluntary implants are a far cry from mandatory and certainly not coming at least to the US anytime soon. We're a bit leery of government control and keeping incognito.

Is it true there are metal strips in paper currency in the US? Strips detectable by metal detectors for instance. Is it fact that less than 25% of the US population have a passport?
A country responsible for Guantanamo and water boarding and using British airspace for transporting whoever they don't like for a dose of the above... a bit leery? Bit deeper than all that.

No metal strips in US currency - there is a watermark strip to prevent counterfeiting. If there were metal strips sufficient enough to trip a metal detector, everyone would have to yank their wallets going through.

Maybe completely true that less than 25% of the US has a passport.

Missing your point. What does waterboarding and Gitmo have do with a state monitoring its citizens? I was attempting to say that I don't think US citizens on the whole would accept mandatory electronic monitoring of its citizens.
