Mike Riley is set to take over from Keith Hackett as the Premier League referees chief.
The 44-year-old from Leeds will become general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO) when Hackett retires in January.

Wasn't he the one Moyes was complaining about? He won't be happy!

Well in fairness he did get better towards the end of his reffing career, he wasn't as totally hopeless in our games as he had been before and he was spot on, despite the media kerfuffle, in NOT awarding a penalty to the Mancs (great work by Moyesie too to ensure he didn't screw up)..

The really good news being that this presumably means he's retired.

Dear Lord, only just seen this, absolultely terrible news, he's a ******* whopper & I was made up when I heard he was retiring. This will not turn out well
