You see the problem is this, you apparently need money to be successful. Well Spurs and Newcastle have had shed loads to spend yet they have no clue what makes a solid sustainable side.

There is no point getting in a coach for 5m a year and he just buys stars and doesn't buy a complete squad.

Same with Liverpool, no point buying one player worth 24m if the majority of the side are never going to threaten the Premiership.

Arsenal have spent wisely, but they are now reaping the benefits of recognising potential.
 

Quite right Ghost, having money is a start but it has to be coupled with judgement on the players signed.

Look at Mourinho spent shed loads and okay bought some success but has crumbled of late. So money is not the be all and all.
 
a side needs heart and soul, its floppy to throw that up but its true, committed, driven, intensely competitive, belligerent individual or individuals.

roy keane is the modern day master of this, he'd die for the cause.

allardyce has brought barton in for this job, it could well be the job he was made for.
