Yet another "if" we lose this game , he's got to go NOW !

LOL

We beat a pile of dross on the way to getting knocked out by a poor City side ffs

We beat everyone put in front of us in the first few rounds, then drew City away second leg. They started a team with Aguero, KDB, Toure and Silva starting. We won the first leg deservedly and then were unlucky to see that goal wrongly given for their 2nd in the away leg. It was a decent cup run. We certainly weren't turning in performances like the win against city in the league at the time. We play like that or like we did vs chelsea in the semi and final of the fa cup and we'll win it.

Don't know what some people think a manager does. I presume that's the team the overwhelming majority would have started with. And despite some thinking 'high press' is like some superpower we suddenly get, the tactics were fine today. The way our midfield was being out thought and out fought we'd have been torn apart if we pressed them further up the pitch.
They did everything right and our 'best team since the eighties' couldn't do a thing right.
Martinez doesn't tell them to stop doing all the things they've been doing well for the last eight or nine games. He could have brought all three subs on and taken nobody off and we wouldn't have scored.
He had a week to prepare the team. He sets the tactics and he gets them in the right frame of mind to play. That part clearly went wrong for whatever reason

Get to a final Dave or win a final, theirs a big difference really, or you happy with just being their now not about winning?
No, but I'm realistic about what a final slot means in terms of a manager competing for silverware.

I know it's not the same as getting 6th or 7th in the Barclay's Premier League like.

Don't resort to insults
This.

Baring the Moyes hybrid season his premier league track record isn't good enough for Bournemouth never mind us.

And there's a trend as well, it's quite scary when you look at that stats with regards to wins vs losses/draws

The only thing different from us and Wigan is that he's drawn more games with us, the win ratio over the last 18 months is on par with his tenure at Wigan

Out if his depth

See ye knobhead

In that case sack him and employ the toffee lady as the manger effects nothing

Right back to getting beat against any team that isn't being relegated eh?

Just like last season, beat a couple of the bottom teams and people believe he can turn the team around.

As for a cup run, fantastic. Keep him on the basis of that, only good managers have a good cup run, you know the the ones;

Roeder, redknapp, Bradford manager, milwalls manager, Southampton manager that year, David moyes, tony pulis, mark Hughes, Brendan Rodgers etc

A cup run doesn't make a good manager, the league does. How anyone on here @davek for example can't see past that is unbelievable.
Yeah, because everyone last week wasn't over the moon at the Chelsea QF win.

I know which one of those two matches (Arsenal today and Chelsea last week) I'd rather have won.
