I'm a rock hard 6 and a half and ready to explode !

Have I got this right: you dont want to win the cup?!

I want to win it but I'd prefer to finish 4th next season. Replacing Martinez gives us the best opportunity of doing that.

I want to be in a position to compete for trophies every year because of the quality of our manager and team, not relying on having favourable draws in the cups every 20 years.

I wasn't. I was happy we won but I bet Bradford were happy with their cup run as well. Doesn't make their manager suddenly brilliant though does it? In fact basing it on cup runs alone for a manager is pretty poor defence considering the other teams who have them.

Or in fact lets look at previous great managed cup runs,

Portsmouth relegated
Wigan relegated
Southampton relegated
West ham relegated
Bradford league one

These are the clubs who have good cup runs and go on to greater things because of it eh?
Everton 83/4?

I'm actually pretty low on the fume factor today. I expected us to lose so was pretty much resigned to it once they scored.

In the grand scheme of things, today wasn't very important and Arsenal had a point to prove and wanted it much, much more than we did. Our season revolves round the Cup now, and has for a few weeks if we're being honest.

Regardless of whether or not we win the cup, Martinez is likely to get another season, and, I can't lie, that thought worries me a bit
I'd be more inclined to be worried that decent Evertonians like yourself have given up.

Everton will never be top 6 regularly without a world class attacking midfielder -
Martinez will probably buy another striker and bench him like Niasse while the side have been screaming for a creative midfielder for a very long time -
Not using all your subs when you have nothing to lose is also frustrating
When Martinez goes on a cup run he loses sight of everything else around him - even the Premier Leaugue

The bigger picture is that every season we are not in the top is a lost opportunity. I don't want Martinez wasting all of this young talent and our transfer budget in the summer. The bigger picture is that many people have genuine fears that we could be relegated next season if we stick with Martinez. We need to somehow replace a 25 goal season striker. Given that Martinez' previous signing's in this area have been Kone and Niasse i am not that confident.
The bigger picture is that nobody knows. And our young talent were poor today. Maybe it's time responsibility was shared

So for the minority who still thinks Martinez is the right man are doing so based on an FA Cup win.

So what's the answer for the flip side if this doesn't happen, we finish outside the top 10, and an eventual exit of top players?

Are these people happy for Martinez to carry on and say, spend £100million?
