Like the way you choose to ignore the BK statement I made. You're all over the place, I'll keep you informed on my ITK the same way you can on your "line" at the club

So called ITK's haven't got a thing right for ages.
Under Moyes, yes.
Under Martinez, not a sausage.

Just saying like.

None of his predecessors have had this squad though.

It took over a decade to get out of the mire and into a respectable outfit who did finish 4th, who did have a cup final, league cup semi final, who were deemed "best of the rest" - the rest being United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs.

Now the outfit has a squad worth of £200million of talent that can only compete on 1 front. Cups.
Whoah, whoa...that line about having the best squad since the 80s was used in relation to Moyes' team of around 2005/09.

He wasn't sacked either.

It seems unreal, unwise and, well, just plain wrong, to be loyal to such an underachiever. I now think it's time to move on - after this season: FA Cup win or not. It was the manner of the performance today against erstwhile struggling Arsenal - a game we should have and could have got stuck right into them... but didn't.

Except Moyes actually had that squad performing at the level of the best Everton squad for 20 years. This current squad is performing at the level of a Walter Smith side

Lads, lads. We've heard all this new manager talk for about 18 months. What makes you think midtable and two cup SFs is the basis for a different outcome?

I know that some of you tend to post when we get beat and think you have to strike while the iron is hot to stir up a lynch mob, but really, it's not happening. Not now. Not in the summer. Maybe next autumn if the start to next season is bad...and even then only if we fail to left the cup this season.

That ^^^ is as close to reality as you can get imo.

Something I've been trying to contemplate for a while now.

How can a manager be good enough to win the FA Cup but be bad enough to get relegated in the same season.

All answers welcome.

You don't need to be a balanced team to win a cup. It's around 6 games that you have to get through, against varied quality of opposition, and one style of play could be enough to win you the cup if you're lucky. If your defence is particularly good, or if you can score lots of goals, you're in the mix.

A league campaign is a long, relentless slog over an entire season, where you're tested in different areas at different times against (relatively) evenly matched teams. It exposes weaknesses, questions your ability to adapt to circumstances, your ability to change momentum if you have to...it is a much greater test of a football club. Then when it's over, where you finish is a definitive indication of where you deserve to be.

Now Daniel is one of the most respected evertonians I've been lucky enough to meet and it's quite something when he says something so painfully true.

How many people have you spoken to mate
Likewise for me, and I've spoken to quite a few, including some neutrals that don't even follow a team in the Prem, but just enjoy the football.

All of the Bulgarian fan club want him out as well, for one, doubt the split for in/out is as close as it was before. Nearly everyone who was kind of "well, maybe, give him time" is now "just sack him come end of the season, FA cup or not".
