The figures about Roberto being third best Everton manager in percentage wins underlines really that the major problem has been cracking our home form this season.

Away from home in the PL = just one defeat all season; cup games home and away = one defeat in 10 ties.
Don't forget, Moyes played a hell of a lot more games than some of those managers in that list, with more European competition involvement.

Barring a total disaster, I'd have expected that somewhat. Where was HK first time round in those numbers?

Tell you what, let's give Martinez 516 games and see where his win percentage sits then

Certainly no way of knowing that.

That said, I have changed my stance on Martinez and have stated it here. I do think he has to go. The modern fan with their instant gratification need, will not be happy until a change is made. I just hope we treat the next manager a little better with a bit more patience. Martinez has been a polarizing figure amonst the fans before Everton even kicked a ball under his watch.

Lack of defeat is not a win

It underlines how good his first season was. Nothing else

Been pants since then

As for counting cup matches I refer you to @Saint Domingo post above

Another fact. In 4 of Martinez's 6 cup runs we have gone out against the first premier league side we've met. He has a penalty shoot out over a torrid Norwich for this stat not being 5 out of 6.

Catterick and HKI would be out of sight up near the 60% mark. They are giants of the club.

The Martinez record vis-a-vis other Everton managers pretty much underlines the point I've been making in relation to those who want him gone: "why now, why Martinez?" He's quite obviously being judged by different criteria than other Everton managers, and his overall stats show how ridiculous it is to do so.

In fairness though i don't really look at stats like that because the defeats were -

Arsenal away- nothing new there
City away - we threw it away but still no shock to lose there
West Ham away - battered them with 10 men but lost on penalties
Swansea away - we were crap so no excuses
Fulham away - should have been 5-0 up at half time and paid the price for not putting our chances away

That's a mixed bag with a couple of them could easily have gone in our favour.

Still want him out like.

Let's be honest here, that hasn't happened. Fans are reacting to two seasons worth of crap results and clueless tactics. If the next manager comes in and loses his first 12 games, will you still be saying we need to be patient and give him time?

Martinez League win %
Season 1 55%
Season 2 31%
Season 3 30%

This is the criteria he's being judged by
