I think we all know our season comes down to the SF. The league is not in play. It's gone as a competitive matter. End of story.

The faux rage might continue regarding 1-0 defeats away at OT, but we all know deep down that the cup semi result will determine matters.

I honestly dont know why you waste your time whinging about something that isn't in play. "oooh he's just said this and he's just said that...". Embarrassing.

Get beat in the SF - yes, absolutely I could understand frustration. But we haven't been...and I think we all have a big feeling we'll be at Wembley in may for the final.

A cup win would not make this a good season. It would make it better but not good. Look at who we have beaten on our run to two semi-finals. We have played 3 Premiership teams. We needed penalties to see of Norwich at home, we beat a Bournemouth team who rested players and had a great result against Chelsea.
I don't say this to belittle our achievements because two cup semis in one season is good thing, but when we put forward our cup success as an alternative to a good league campaign then at least look at who we beat on the way to the semis.
Let us at least be honest with ourselves.

Lets just boycott Goodison Park. Fans are obviously upsetting the players and the performances are pants. Hes lost the dressing room. Must have

I genuinely shake my head that some fans think this is acceptable, ffs do you not have any ambition? Do your weekends not get ruined by Everton effing up week in week out? Do you not have kopite family, mates and work collegues ripping the pee out of you every Monday morning or after a defeat? I actually can't fathom what this snake oil salesman has sold to some people genuinely baffled.

I have used this expression to describe R Martinez, for months now. I was initially (even before the '72 points') keen on his appointment. My support started wavering around Xmas before last. Needless to say, it has now totally crashed and burned.
He pulled the wool over many eyes, did our smooth-talking Catalan-versioned Elmer Gantry.

But, he is a man of straw, a snake oil salesman indeed; massively under-equipped to be anywhere near the helm of our great club.

SOME MORE SNIPPETS FROM HIS POST MATCH INTERVIEW FROM TODAYS GAME:

"There were two games within a game. Up until the goal, we were the team with a better tempo and we always looked a threat"

"The goal was a very soft action, it's not up to our standards. The performances were very, very level, and we shouldn't have lost the game."

"It's that sort of game that came down to small margins - the ball hitting the crossbar is the difference between us getting something out of the game"

"We are a young group with great potential, but our home form hasn't been anywhere near good enough."

...it's just fog now isn't it, fog & noise, there's no substance to his post-match-chat anymore, it's just repeat & regurge of the keywords...

'Potential...margins....faff-faff-faff...'

Talks a load of old knackers.

Can't wrap my head around why anyone still wants him in. Things keep getting worse with every passing game. Swansea a point away from us now. Can only see the semi final being a disaster whilst he's in charge. Should have been shown the door after the city semi.
