It is how the team sets up. We can only play one way, on the counter attack, everyone sat deep apart from two of the best attacking talents in the PL.

You can do this away from home to decent effect as teams play with mor confidence at home and there is an expectation fromt heir own fans for them to get on the ball and make something happen.

When we are at home that same expectation exists and the away side are sitting deep looking to counter. This is where we see the complete failure of the Martinez project with us having no idea what to do when we have to play on the front foot and break teams down. We therefore started to start playing on the counter attack at home (embarrassing) but even this failed with the recent West Ham and Arsenal games being examples of two decent sides who we let have the ball and they punished us with it.
Great answer - cheers

Yes, it was a favourable fixture list. Had we been drawn against any of Liverpool City Arsenal United Leicester or Spurs we would have most probably been knocked out. This didn't happen until the semi stage in the league cup. Last season we were out of both at the first opportunity.
Had a good run in the Europa league though - and he had cup success at Wigan while league form was poor

Do you think that's acceptable?

It certainly doesn't live up to our motto does it?

Yet you rail match going fans whom pay a lot of money to watch that utter gash week in week out for giving the players and mainly the manager well deserved criticism they are receiving and say we should support the team better and we act like we're entitled!??
Don't think so!
You probably won't find more level headed fans than Evertonians, we expect our team to turn up and fight for the cause and not just bend over like we have recently.

I suppose if it was up to you we'd be called F.C Megalols and have mad bantz throughout the match!!

This isn't the MLS!! It's the premier league and we are Everton and we deserve better.
;)

Our league performance is not acceptable at all. I have stated that I think regardless of the Cup...win or lose...I don't want him at the helm for next season.

That said, I do think it's important to state all of the facts, versus just being negative. There are plenty of negative things going on around the club at the moment and the polarizing figure that is Martinez is at the center of it.

Is our problems staring at us right in the face? It's actually that simple and we overlook it trying to complicate it. One word: discipline, the lack of. I think that has a major impact on our club.

This is the problem though, people aren't focusing on the positives, apart from the new investor there aren't many to side track us from the poor league form
