Missed the game today. From what I read we went toe to toe with Utd and then conceded a poor goal.

Are we at Fumecon 1 yet?
That's roughly what happened. But don't try to suggest it. Looked solid except for one strange moment from Coleman. Lennon and Rom looked a bit flat so less creative up front, but actually created couple of half chances from set pieces.

But we've had this before mate.

We had the World Cup in 2014 leaving Lukaku and co knackered
We had Barry "getting old"
We had the Europa League exertions
We had the Stones issues
We had the McCarthy not getting a new deal saga
We had that Mirallas lad missing a penalty

Look at our league record against the teams above us, this season and last. It's a litany of failure

Next October

We'll have everyone coming back from Euro 2016
We'll have Stones / Lukaku / Barkley type of sagas, destabilising etc etc
We'll probably still be havig Naisse recovering from a wrist injury which is affecting his ability to kick a football and run about without appearing to be assaulted by gravity in an arbitrary way

Missing another excuse. We lost some top players in the summer but we do not fear that look at the replacements I have signed from division 1. They will take the club forward. Also should mention all the young players I have brought through.

This is a an awful situation to be in as an Evertonian no matter what side of the fence you sit on.

I took a friend to old Trafford today for her first ever Everton game and I hoped it would've been a day of celebration. She actually said she enjoyed it and I think she enjoyed the atmosphere at the start so if she's still interested I would like to take her to another game.

The only other game she has ever been to was Man City when they played at Maine Road and she said she hated it.

Echo had a front pager if I remember correctly campaigning for Hodgson to go. This was after less than one season. He had a decent pedigree, had had his best players sold under Rafael, not much money, and had a crocked Torres. The echo had seen enough though. We have a manager who relegated Wigan, inherited a fantastically stable club, has had three seasons now, spent a lot of money whilst being allowed to keep his best players, and has one of Europe's top strikers fit and in form. He is now breaking all sorts of unwanted records including our worst ever home record. Despite this the echo are barely laying a hand on him. They are entirely happy with the current set up. A media friendly manager who can dupe the wider media keeping Everton down where they want to see them and relieving the pressure on their beloved reds. Any half decent manager would have had Klopp under pressure already. As it is he's laughing knowing he can underperform as much as he wants and that 90% of his cult following will be happy as long as they finish above us.

Another stat for those who seem to like obscure ones so much: Moyes finished ahead of Benitez, Dalglish (with Suarez) and Rodgers (with Suarez) as Everton manager. Martinez has failed to finish ahead of Rodgers (without Suarez) and Klopp (who will probably come outside of the top 6).

BTW, being critical of fans is not 'railing' them. I am not the only one that feels that way. There are match goers who agree that the home atmosphere is not supportive at the moment. Not sure why you mentioned MLS either. I would absolutely love to be a season ticket holder...it would be a massive privilege and honor. Sadly I don't know if I will ever make it over for 1 match let alone live there.
Mate, you've been a broken record all season as regards railing the match-going Evertonians.

It should be noted that they are poor. We had good periods of possession but ultimately we created 3 chances to fell to our CB from set pieces and the other was a half chance for Lukaku.

Man UTD will see it's a a routine win thanks to a professional performance. Also they lost 2 of the 4 defenders they started with and replaced them with youngsters and that still didn't get us going.
