Roberto Martinez discussion

What has that to do with our current plight? Anyone who is any way against Martinez is goaded left right n centre on here yet you're criticising me for my posting style?

Am I goading you now? I think your post has decent points but it is massively over the top and hard to read.

Your agenda is clear...I just wish we could have a sound conversation about it.

How about this...we've regularly started off slower than this season as a club during the Moyes years. Let's see how the next 10 go, eh?

And I agree the next ten games will show us where we are at, but you and your group will be making the same excuses then as you are now, wasn't your leader quoted as saying he will be here for the next 5 years regardless?

Like I said we win a few games I shut up, simple I'm happy if Everton win regardless of who is managing, don't win I take issue. But you definitely need to Drop the 'if you never wanted Martinez your opinion doesn't count' attitude simply because is their no way in your mind that those who never wanted him were worried that the last 16 months would be the 'Norm' under him, or will you not acknowledge that?
Not wanting him in the beginning wasnt capped at that point though was it? It spilled over into criticism and opposition to Martinez when he took over and continued through his first season, incredibly. It was a small step from that to the ridiculously OTT reaction around this time last season when we had idiotic polls about his suitability....and it deteriorated from that point.

But the poison was in the water right from the off. That's always been my argument, and for some people that accusation is spot on. Something you'd acknowledge if you were being fair minded.

You're saying they can't be right because they were right from the off. It's nonsense, you're giving more credence to the opinions of those who worshiped him 16 months ago who now want rid, yet those who had the foresight to predict this decline are just 'plotters'

You're brilliant at what you do, winding up proper Evertonians. But it isn't working on me kid, I see through you, and your mick taking ways.

I feel for your Jim Jones esque followers who are nowhere near as good at doing what it is you do.

It was 17th and 11th and I was pissed off then and I'm pissed off now, remember we all had to put up with the 2nd season but in the 3rd we were on 20+ points by now and that was when all we did was whack it long at every opportunity, I clearly remember Thomas Gravesen booting it long, that is the reason Real Madrid wanted him because of his bootability. I also remember that fraud Moyes not finishing outside the top 8 post 05/06 with much worse squads than we currently have. Although you'll never admit that.

I remember that hand away at Villa AND Swansea in Moyes' last season when we won 3-1 & 3-0 when we just kept knocking it long, I remember being absolutely disgusted that day, disgusted. I remember Moyes last home game and that first goal scored by Miralls when we just threw it in the mixer. I remember all of the bad times, I remember when Everton fans were within their rights to set up a website that illustrated how our then manager went over 2yrs without being able to sign a 1st team player.

Moyes deserved a public flogging for that.

But wait.........everyone wait a minute

If you always thought that the last 16 months would be the norm with a atrocious 15 wins from our last 48 games then you are a plotter you are a disgrace you are not an Evertonian that's for sure, how could you be?

But if you are happy with 'Bobby' (cringe) in the first place but have since changed your mind then that's OK.

GREAT LOGIC.
if honest mate you are barking up the wrong tree.
All of us are open to constructive discussion, and this is the beauty of a forum. The problem lies with a group of people who never wanted RM and now rejoice in his failings, this for me is not a fair representation of some of the good discussions that we see. The issue I have is that the people want RM to fail and also this means for them to fulfil this they ultimately want Everton to fail on the pitch.
Criticising RM is not an issue, wanting him to fail is an issue as that means the team fails

Foresight? How were they right when he went on to show how wrong they were with Everton's biggest ever points total in the PL? Please explain how that's getting something right.

They were just prejudiced souls looking for any down turn in form in order to give themselves some credence.

That all depends on how long you're willing to give him, my opinion is that the first year was great and way above expectations the following 16 months is what I expected. As you live in a world where no one is set a target I doubt you'll understand but for me he should be give as we speak if he dies by finish 7th at least this year anyone who backs him us not an Evertonian. Simple.

After reading you post in another thread, I look at you as a glory seeking Kopite
Why post about Everton when you don't go, but can afford to go - your words
Obviously you have no passion for the club, as good supporters stick with the team through thick and thin
