Oh and when Mr Dave K posts

I can't help but feel this is a defining game for Martinez. Anything other than a win and I'm pretty much done with him I think.

He won't be judged one one game of course and nor should he be. I'm basing it on the last 15 months, which have taken us from a comfortable to 6-8 side to a 10th and below. Stats say we are going backwards, needs to turn around quickly and today would be a great place to start.

I really hope we start winning games now and making the most of the best squad we have had in years (according to the general consensus). The pressure should be on him to start winning more games, he is not here for a comfortable ride and an easy salary and cannot live off 2013-2014 any longer.

Best part of this thread is people coming in saying "Oh dear, look at the state of this thread. Can we have some reasoned debate please?" and then proceeding to encourage posts suggesting pro-Martinez posters must be part of a weird religious organisation and generally do anything but have reasoned debate.

I personally am in a weird religious organisation, but my membership of the Cult of Davek has absolutely nothing to do with my views on Martinez.

It could be on for a lot of clubs, West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool, Palace, Leicester, Southampton, all just as good a chance as us if not better, Chelsea will not get anywhere near 4th, so it is wide open, just a shame we have been letting points slip in the one season when you dont want to.

We all know West Ham. Leicester and Southampton will tail off. It's natural as they don't have the squad and are having a purple patch early doors.

Spurs are consistant but don't have the goals.

We should be up there.

No we don't! Leicester's form from March has been outstanding. Southampton were better than us last season and now look to have settled their new players in and are playing well again. Of any of them I would say maybe West Ham, but they have a good young manager who won't settle for anything other than 100%, meaning they might drop points like yesterday! but you can guarantee he will make changes and gave them fired up for next week.
