Roberto Martinez discussion

Not a dig at Moyes, nor an uncritical view of Martinez.

But to condense the position I think some are taking.

Under the style of Moyes, we could see the limits he could, and did at times, achieve.

Under Martinez, those limits have expanded. But with short term, (I think), frustrations along the way.

I just think you are make a bad argument for scintillating football at the expense of results, when you consider how up for grabs everything is at present.

To be fair, that hasnt helped! But also, to be fair, no one was saying before the season started that we were due a nuts one.

I'd go further, Id say the league has maybe altered to perhaps benefit a Moyes style consistency.

Watford about to take down City etc.

hahahahaha

6th best in the league, just 9 goals conceded in the 9 away games. Those brutal away fixtures like Newcastle and Norwich and Southampton [the latter have just lost their 8th in 10 games or something like that).

Sixth best hey. Phenomenal.

That might be the most desperate thing I have ever seen on here.

19 goals conceded at home so far and he's brought that one out.

They've gone to Hull in a handbasket this time!

Any research yet that explains this?

In your own time, dear chap.

Can you shed some light on why we have only conceded 9 away from home this season, 6th best in the league and better than any other Everton manger has done this time in the season?

You can win the trophy with your reply you know.
Not sure, but it does make you wonder why the home form is so bad. It also makes you wonder that if we indeed are 'playing football touched by the gods' why we have only won 6 games this season, if we have a defence that has proven itself capable as you've pointed out.

Not sure. Now that's a surprise.

About 50 points, IIRC. We'll surpass that though. Top half and two good cup runs playing a very entertaining brand of attacking football in a season when we restructure and rebuild away from the Moyes squad at long last. That's my targets.
Is the league cup run already a very good one? I ask, as I'm interested to know if that's already set to be rammed down out throat did the rest of the season regardless.

Do you not fear what an 11th placed finish could do to our squad?

Show me a post from pre season saying that Watford, Leicester, Palace, West Ham would be playing like they are, and that Chelsea would be a few points off relegation in 2016, and you have a valid point.

mate its a statistical anomaly which does nothing to over ride every other piece of evidence that says we are leaking goals left right and centre and no one with any influence on the style of place seems to give a toss about that.
