He's as good as gone in the summer likewise is Stones. This is his Suarez and Bale season.

So we should be expecting around 100 million in the summer for these two, as we won't sell these cheap so maybe 40 million for stones and 50 for Lukaku so around 90 million plus our spending money of 20 million.

Agree, I have a feeling that if we keep everyone together, make another big-name signing and discover a bit of consistency then 16/17 is going to be one of our best seasons in a very, very long time. Part of the reason all the big clubs like Man City and PSG have been so successful is that most of the players have spent numerous seasons together. Even now you can see that the difference between 13/14 and 15/16 is night and day, plus we had aside from Clevs and RFM the exact same squad as we have today.

I'll fume if we don't win something this season. The league cup is gonna be the real test for the squad to see where we're at, and we should try and wade deep into the FA Cup too. If we turn all these draws into wins we will be a top 4 side. Only 3 losses this season to only the top teams is really quite remarkable, but all these disappointing draws need to become wins.

Only 3 defeats is remarkable when you think about it but so is the fact that up until now we are incapable of beating anyone half decent, look at the teams we've beaten, they have either been under the most terrible run of form (chelsea southampton) or they have just been altogether crap teams, something has really got to change or like the wind he's gone, you could see the pure frustration building in him after monday's game, either martinez has to add some proper quality to the team in january or Lukaku's boat is well and truely sailing

I wonder if sometimes Lukaku's enthusiasm for Everton drops when he sees us defensively always leaking sloppy goals while he has to work pretty hard for his at the other end. We need to fix the defence sharpish if we want to retain him (imo)

what he say?

united and city will prob want new strikers in the summer, hmmmmmmm
Basically that Lukaku is only any good when afforded space and that he isn't good enough for City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool (LOL) etc.
Then compared him to Vardy.
That might have been true before, but now Rom's overall game has gotten much better rounded, he'd easily fit into one of those sides sadly for us, particularly with the drought of good strikers at the top of the league.

This right after a Crystal Palace game, in which he was afforded no space, yet nearly scored a hatrick.

Sound.

There is no way we sell him unless a spectacular bid comes in. People are stuck in this mindset from the Moyes era of losing players every season - since Martinez arrived, we haven't lost any important player in any window, barring Fellaini but in that instance he wanted rid anyway.

It'll take north of £50m for Lukaku and £40m for Stones to get a reply from us at the moment, convinced of it. I stick with what I said about Stones in the summer - we'd have been lunatics to sell him then for the fees offered, and we'd be lunatics now.

Stones may go, but it'll be on our terms and we'll be well compensated for it.

Apart from maybe Rooney, this was always the case with the Moyes era Tubey.

This is true, now we have the money to keep players, we don't need to sell to improve our squad anymore, we can just improve our squad with the funds given.

Of course if Stones, Rom, Barkley or Deu does a Lescott, we will need to shift em on.
