Ronald Koeman discussion

It was a bad performance but it wasn't peak koemoyes. That title goes to last seasons derby at goodison where we parked the bus at our own ground for 45 minutes against our biggest rivals with the inevitable and obvious outcome of getting shafted in the last minute. That was the most pathetic white flag waving 45 minutes of recent years.

It's worse this place is getting. If by seasons end we haven't improved on 7th place then Ron will rightly have questions to answer. Third game of the season away at the champions after a tough week is not the time to throw a hissy fit.

It wasn't the result, it's the complete anti football performances we are churning out.

Also obvious excuses deflecting from his crap selections and tactics etc etc

I have always felt that barring dangerous flirtations with relegation, a manager should be given 3 seasons to prove himself. First season is usually firefighting and assessing the squad, with the addition of players to address problem areas. Second season is traditionally the most difficult , new players to blend in v the impatience of us. Third season is truly his side, and from that point he should be truly judged.

Said it weeks ago he won't be here come August 2018.

Even more so if we don't sign a striker and centre half.

What happened weeks ago that made you think that?

Just seems strange as I think he's probably got one of the more secure jobs in the league. Reckon he'll walk away?

If he doesn't deliver then the board will be thinking you're one of the most handsomely paid managers in the world and we've let you spend 100-odd million on players

What are the board expecting though? Our squad hasn't become better than any of those that finished above us last season.

Chelsea were shocking last season then he changed formation and they went on a run and won the league at a canter. Judging our season on one game is the height of ridiculousness.
