Everton

Everton defender Michael Keane told Sky Sports: "I think so [we are drained of confidence]. Normally everyone would want to get on the ball and show what they can do. Maybe you're not seeing that now. It was a difficult day."

On manager Ronald Koeman being under pressure: "It's down to us, the manager can only do so much. We have 100% belief in him. We feel like we've let him down. We're working really hard to sort it out."

Stop lying, Michael. Just stop it please.

It was bad under Walker and Smith, Martinez got caught up in his own idealism and forgot the basics.

For the failures of the other three they at least showed respect to the privilege of being Our Manager. Koeman on the other hand always struck me that he thought he was better than Everton and it is this arrogance coupled with a glaring lack of ability that sees him go down as one of our worst managers ever.

He has overseen the sale of the Crown Jewels and leaves us with the most unbalanced side of any team in Europe’s top divisions.

I know the announcement hasn’t come yet but he has gone for me. He’s had the time, had the money and taken us backwards beyond where any of us could have imagined. Plenty of time to work on that swing now Ron.

Not often I agree with Steve effing Claridge:

'No balance, no shape. It has to change'

On this evidence Everton are in real, real trouble. There were very few redeeming features about their play. There is no belief in what they are doing and they are not good enough to play like that.

There is no reaction to what is going on. The fans have just given up reacting. Apathy is too strong a word but they look like they've had the guts knocked out of them.

I don't expect Everton to change the world but I do expect to pick elements where I can see what Koeman is trying to do or why he has recruited that player. There was none of that today. The best they could do is get men behind the ball. No balance, no shape, the system didn't suit the players and there was no quality. Arsenal had five and it could have been a lot more on the weight of Arsenal chances.

Before the game, Claridge said Koeman should be shown patience. Asked if he has now changed his mind: Yes, yes I have.

I am not advocating people leave their job but something has to change quickly.
Been saying this for months.

I think its more like that they don't know what they are doing from one week to the next, every week its a different formation, different personnel, different tactics. No one knows what they are doing never mind what their teammates are doing.

Yeah you're right, it's Koemans tactics and team selection that's causing chaos.

We need to go back to basics. This bunch of players aren't capable of adapting to his tactics- or his style of play (whatever that is)

You're not though are you

Don't think Bill will have the last call, Koeman was very much Moshiri's pick. The difference in their reactions after the 5th went in said a lot.

I agree. Bill looked as P'd off as i've ever seen him. Moshiri just slapped his knee as if to say 'oh dear' like you would to children! He doesnt seem to understand how it feels to get spanked at home!! And he always has a stupid grin on his face
