In the Echo says today, Moshiri intends to build a "no expense spared framework around Koeman" with Monchi at the head of the queue.

Think the idea for this is that when the manager/coach either jumps ship or is given the push for underachieving, it won't destabilise the club much as the main structure will still be in place to run the day to day business including transfers.

Obviously you want to get the choice of coach right as well, but losing/firing a manager won't be as harmful in the short term as losing/firing a manager who has sole total control of all footballing matters.

We'll probably see a higher turnover of managers in the coming years than we have in the past. If Koeman gets us back in and around the European spots again in the next few seasons, but doesn't look like he can take us even further, then I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Moshiri replace him with an even higher calibre manager as he's clearly very ambitious.

So those that are a little disappointed with Koeman and dreamed of the likes of Emery/Mourinho/Simeone, perhaps that was a step too far at this moment in time.

But If Koeman takes us up a level and gets us competing for champions league places, then maybe next time they won't be quite as out of reach.

I'm still pinching myself that we have this guy in charge - he actually will make stuff happen at our club rather than watching and being happy with 10th

This new owner, seems to mean business. I guess we'll see how it is next year? I think it's obvious that we 'll spend a load on players this summer. The big test will be next year, especially if we don't have success this coming season. Lots of new owners spend a fortune the first year then can't follow it up.

This owner seems to be putting the foundations for success in before he, gives a kid the keys to the sweet shop. Koeman wants ambition, our new owner seems to have loads of it.

Sky now headlining their site saying it is close to agreeing compensation.

But of a nothing story really, either we pay the compensation or we don't. Both sides have to agree an amount of Southampton have to tell us the price. Hardly having to go out and raise the money beforehand!
