Hi all

I have posted this with consent of the admin. (Thank You)

I have a book coming out on 15 June about the 1960s Liverpool band Rory Storm and the Hurricanes.

If anyone is interested in them then the book is on the link below.

https://www.amberley-books.com/coming-soon/from-a-storm-to-a-hurricane.html

From fun to sorrow, the story of Rory Storm and The Hurricanes. Follow the career and lives of the guys who were one of the biggest bands during the Merseybeat era. See them as the individuals that they were. Mixing and playing alongside the top performers, friends and rivals of The Beatles. From the Cavern to the Kaiserkeller The Hurricanes were there in the thick off it all. Their story is always rocking, often funny, yet full of heartbreak. Over 140 photographs are included, many unseen before in public. Former band members, their families, and their friends, have provided input to bring their story to life. Enjoy their adventure, laugh at their often crazy antics, and be prepared for the emotional moments. Rory Storm and The Hurricanes, The boys who dreamed the dream.

4 lads from Old Swan and Ringo.

Cheers

Ant

That lad rocked, saw him at the Allinsons and Shakespeare, imo he was better than Lennon.

I read the man who gave the Beatles away by Alan Williams himself great read for any one in that era Alan mentions Rory quite a lot with glowing admiration for Rory saying how it was cruel he never made it - Alan on the other hand had no time for Ringo as all the Beatles with Alan attended Rory's funeral apart from Ringo who did not go stating he never went to Rory's christening if true disgusting considering he was the Hurracanes drummer!
Alan also stated Pete Best was a better drummer than Ringo?
On another point my older brother was at a local disco and Rory came on and the place went berserk with female fans, they were a great sounding band who performed in Hamburg with the Beatles before they got their fame!
