Ross Barkley

Barkley would be perfect in the Fellaini role. Small risk in that position. No reason why he shouldnt be playing on Saturday.

We'll see Neville or Hitzlsperger though.

Not really a small risk though is it, that attacking midfield role is the link between your striker and midfield/defence. If he's crap we lose a lot of attacking potency.

It's not though, cos hormone problems don't actually stop you playing football. Barkley couldn't even walk for months, and suffered an injury during a crucial period in his footballing development.

Messi wouldn't have had a career if it wasn't for Barca stumping up with the funds to make him well.

Fellaini is static in there. No through balls nothing. I'm sure Barkley would be a lot more creative and things will actually go through the middle on the floor rather tha hoof.. Ofcourse it's less of a risk to play him in there. He'll have minimal defensive duties. Not sure if there is a least risky option anywhere on the pitch.

Barkley has had some serious football time this season at decent levels, impressed at all the clubs.

Next season I foresee the same.

Fellaini has scored 12 goals in that position, and he gives us a target which we use to start a lot of our attacks.

He may not be a natural attacking player, but there's no guarantee Barkley would be more effective.

I'd like to see him in that role given that Fellaini is suspended.

I'm expecting anyone from the below list to come in before Barkley.

Naismith
Anichebe
Neville
Hitzlsperger

You've got to admit that Anichebe deserves to play over Barkley though, surely? Naismith, Nev and Hitz on the other hand...

Totally agree. Anichebe has been fantastic this season and in my opinion in with a shout for player of the season if he grabs a few more goals.

Fellaini is stuck up there because moyes needs a target man for his long ball tactics, change the tactics and play out from the back and we can have a barkley type player in that position. This will probably create more chances for our forwards to.

Haven't seen any replays on TV but from where I was sitting that yellow card was an absolute disgrace.

I thought Ross done ok. But there's definately something missing. I want to see him going forward he seems to look for the simple pass all the time. However he's definately a fantastic prospect and I'm sure he'll grow with every game. Still not enough playing time for me though.

Wasn't impressed with his run out today tbh.

Tries too hard to be a showboater, too many flicks, not enough meaningful play.

Hopefully he can cut that out of his game, he seems to play like that each time he gets on the field.
