Ross Barkley

I chortle a bit when I hear about any Everton manager having the final say on transfer strategy and player sales. Everton's board and officer class provide the parameters that our manager's stay within. That's why they've all been handsomely remunerated. They do what they're told, basically. The "outspoken" Koeman included.

They can have latitude to do certain things but any massive financial loss - as per playing silly buggers with Barkley and losing millions in a sale - wont be tolerated. We just cant afford that.

And Ross is blameless in all of this ?

The club have made him a contract offer that we can safely assume is an improved one, and yet he chose for whatever reasons, to hold off or refuse to sign it.

The manager said a couple of weeks ago that the club would not in effect, be held to ransom, and Ross still chose to hold off or refuse to sign it.

I'm not suggesting Koeman is 100% blameless, his at times blunt manner may be difficult for a hometown boy to come to terms with, but it's also unfair and somewhat blinkered of you to suggest that he is 100% to blame... when the offer has seemingly been on the table for weeks.

He did do it. Leicester fa cup defeat. After the board had stalled for days on Schneiderlein. He said they needed to get their act together.
He's had the worst net spend in the last three seasons.

Hardly hammer of the boardroom like is he? Do you think he'll put his £6/7M in jeopardy by locking horns with his pay masters? No chance.

Yes actually, Ross is completely blameless in this.

Not being sarcastic or funny either - he's done absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever.

All the money is obscene to me Andy, but you;re surmising there that what was offered was enough to pacify a player who maybe was getting offered less than the likes of newbies like Schneiderlin or even the likes of Mirallas.

We dont know the details. But what I do know is that one party has acted like an over grown schoolboy in public on the issue and the other has kept their counsel. I attach blame on that level.

This manager needs to learn to hold his own water, because his outbursts will get real tired real soon.

Nope because even though he is 23 he can't think for himself, 23 is the new 18 didn't you know that?

What's he done mate? Because to me, he's got on with his contracted job without being unprofessional in any way whilst negotiating a pay rise for his services.

You know, like anyone would? The only difference he's got his boss blabbing about it like a you-know-what in public whilst he stays silent.

Please please dont sign ross. Just nowhere near good enough for where we want to be. I ll be gutted if he stays. We can get far better in that position.dont think ron rates him and i can see why !
go on then who can we get who is better? and who would sign for Everton
