2017/18 Ross Barkley

Anybody, in my opinion, who thinks a fully fit Ross Barkley wouldn't be a massive boost and offer creativity to our current midfield is nuts.
If he's allowed to leave without another concerted effort to talk him out of it, then the club will do itself a massive disservice.

I agree, but if he's already made up his mind to go, then I doubt there's much anyone can do mate.

Unless he's purely motivated by money, he'd be well advised not to go to Chelsea or Tottenham, but if people have been whispering sweet nothings in his shell-like, then, if he's going to go this January, I'd rather it happened sooner rather than later.

Let's be honest. Even if he had signed a new deal earlier he would have no interest staying now.

He would be wasting his career.

We can blame Koeman for this.

Just someone to take the weight of the other lads would be brilliant. Hardly any of them want the ball right now, they look so uncomfortable in possession. Barkley would at least start to address that.

I would be shocked, absolutely shocked if Everton ( both Unsworth and Allardyce ) haven't sat him down to persuade him to stay.

The few times Allardyce has been asked about it he keep saying he isn't sure what his plans are. Well I'm assuming within an hour of getting the job he would have spoken to Ross and got a straight answer about him getting off.

Quicker he goes, quicker we get whatever we can for him and the quicker we can invest the money to get someone in who wants to be here.

Anyone that thinks Barkley will be here beyond this season is nuts.

If he's not signing, should we be getting him fit for someone else or giving lads who do want to be here a go ?
It's an odd one indeed.
Ross and Wazza would be ace. I'd love to see it for a couple of seasons, but it's not happening is it.
He's got wages and a World Cup place whispered in his ear for sure.

Would love to see Ross back but I suspect he's off as soon as the window opens, can't really blame him to be fair, don't think enough was done to keep him around earlier on and now the damage is done.
