Is it me or has anyone else had problems with things going missing through the Royal Mail? Four times this year alone I've had things I've bought go for a walk that I've paid for. I'm sick of these thieving bastards helping themselves to my stuff. The most recent was thursday. I ordered and paid for some horse books for the mrs and they werent cheap. The postman turns up with an empty poly bag that he wants me to sign for. Sign for a plastic bag? He had a cheek even bringing it out with him. It had been slit open with a sharp blade and the insides removed. The only reason he knew it was for us was the address on the invoice. I told him he was signing something for me that he'd witnessed this which he had no problem with. Christmas time I sent a signed Everton shirt to me son who lives with his mother. Sent recorded delivery and guess what? Nothing arrived and it broke his heart so I had to buy another shirt for him on ebay. To say I'm angry with the Royal Mail is a ******* understatement. I dont trust them and I'm looking at alternative ways of sending things though the post. Thats my rant over. Sorry if its depressed anyone but I cant be the only one this has happened to :@ Even gave the posty a tenner tip at xmas. Should have kicked him in the eggs.

Had a few problems with things "going missing". Now I insist on everything being recorded.

Last year I ordered a few dvds for younger sisters. The parcel had been openend and put in a plastic bag saying sorry the item was "damaged in transit". Damaged my arse, it had clearly just been openend and the contents wern't worth stealing.

Makes me mad Danny. You put your trust in these people to do you a service mate.

Yeah, don't trust the Royal Mail at all. Even when sending to others I go for recorded - otherwise its as if its a 50/50 chance they will actually arrive otherwise.

Even recorded is risky.
